COOKING

After art, cooking was probably Vincent Price's greatest passion.  It's hard to believe that there are still lots of folks who don't know Vincent's reputation as a world-class gourmet cook. As the child of a candy manufacturer and the grandson of the inventor of baking powder, food has always been in his blood, as it were. With cooking columns, cookbooks, taped advice on preparing foods and countless television appearances, Price made his mark in this satisfying field as well.

Dr. Vincent Clarence Price, Vincent Price's grandfather, invented and manufactured baking powder. That and his well-known extracts and flavorings industry brought the family great wealth.

Vincent Leonard Price, Vincent's father, started out working for Dr. Price, and eventually headed his own National Candy Company.
